Text Box: Greetings,
Welcome Facebook friends,
We launched our Facebook page in September and have quickly gained many new “friends”. As you may know, we received a 5 Star Restoration grant from Gulf Power to build 22 oyster reefs at Bayview Park. We Built our first oyster reefs December 10th. We had several groups participating; Catholic High School and University of West Florida both volunteered to lend their muscle. Oyster shell recycling is an ongoing event as we are collecting an average of 15,000 lbs of shell each month from Peg Leg Pete’s and Marina Oyster Barn. I’d like to thank WalMart on Creighton for assisting with our educational outreach by providing a matching grant for the OYSTER program.

Sincerely,

Gwinn Corley
Executive Director
