Mt Zion Cemetery |

Darlene Roach got frustrated with the conditions at Mt Zion Cemetery and decided to get something done. From her home in Atlanta, Georgia she made numerous calls to City Hall before she finally found some assistance from Clean & Green’s Director, Gwinn Corley. The Hutchison and Carter families came in from all across the United States to participate in the Mt Zion Cemetery cleanup on October 4th, 2008. We had families from Amherst, MA, Indianapolis, IN, Brandon, FL, CA, GA, DE, and TX! Also participating were the US Navy NATC and church members from St Paul’s Lutheran Church. This project is ongoing and we are still soliciting groups who want to be a part of this effort. Next cleanup is TBD. Come join us. |
