Court Ordered Community Service

 

Clean & Green provides the Escambia County court system with a sentencing alternative via our Court-Ordered Community Service Labor Program.  This program serves the community through litter abatement, Clean & Green through provision of free labor, the courts through alternative sentencing, and the defendants through alternatives to heavy fines and/or incarceration

We are currently accepting registrations from State, and Community Corrections for court ordered community service.  We offer court ordered service opportunities for teenagers through Teen Court.  Event sign ups are through the Teen Court Office.

 

Registration

 

      Court ordered volunteers working for credit of mandatory Community Service (CS) hours are required to register with Clean & Green.  Please bring a copy of your referral from Community Corrections for waiver of our $35 fee.  Office hours are 9AM-3PM.  Closed Wednesdays.  It is best to call for an appointment at 438-1178. 

      Regular Park Runs/CS hours Mon-Fri do not require any special sign ups.  Special Events we require you to sign up.  Please call the office during business hours to inquire about working a special event. 

 

Educating, Changing Attitudes and Enhancing the Quality of Life in Escambia County

 

      We remove litter from community streets parks and neighborhoods.  In 2010 we removed 42,640 lbs of litter from area roadsides, and 135,848 lbs of trash from Escambia County Parks.  We picked up 3375 tires and hauled over 476,988 lbs of trash to the landfill.  We had 3675 volunteers contribute 19,179 hours of community service.

 

Group Community Service

 

Clean & Green provides volunteer opportunities upon request for groups through out the year.

You provide the volunteers and transportation and we can provide you a worksite.  You can provide your own equipment or we can arrange the tools and supplies for the job.

In the past we have had corporations, churches, school groups and neighborhood associations contact us for projects.  Typically we can arrange for you to work in a cemetery, an area festival, or the yard of an elderly or disable individual.  If your group is interested please contact the

office.
